Philanthropy and Grant Making Seminar

This short course introduces students to an interdisciplinary view of institutional and individual philanthropy (history, policy, economics and management), primarily in the US. The course also includes a grant making component, requiring students to research local nonprofits and choose the eventual winner of a $25,000 grant: This is an actual grant, not a hypothetical exercise.
